The Art Of Mokume

The ancient art of mokume gane is a japanese metal working technique which produces a mixed metal laminate with distinctive layered patterns. When fusing layers of differently colored metals together, you create whats called a "billet". The billet is then manipulated using chisels, punches, and various other tools and techniques to create patterns in the metals surface. Mokume Gane is truely a beautiful medium to work with and produces a very unique and valued product. Make sure you browse the collection to see the beautiful designs!
